Gasoline sells for 1,569 won ($1.40) per liter and diesel for 1,409 won per liter at a gas station in Seoul on Sunday. Gasoline prices fell by an average of 29.7 won to 1,550.4 won in the first week of November, according to a website run by the Korea National Oil Corporation, thanks to the government slashing the tax on transport fuel on Nov. 6.
