Bento’s boys hit the road

테스트

The Korean men’s football team and head coach Paulo Bento, left, pose for a photo at Incheon International Airport before departing for Australia on Monday. Korea will play two friendly matches against Australia on Saturday and Uzbekistan on Nov. 20. The two matches in Australia will be Bento’s first time competing abroad with the Korean team.

The fixtures will be Korea’s last friendlies of the year and the last before the 2019 AFC Asian Cup kicks off in the United Arab Emirates in Jan. 2019. When Bento was first apointed head coach, he said his goal was to lead Korea to a 2019 AFC Cup victory, which the Taeguk Warriors haven’t won since 1960.

Since Bento took charge of the national team in August, Korea hasn’t lost a match. The team collected two wins and two draws in four friendly matches at home. [YONHAP]
