Orga Whole Foods to import fair trade jam from Denmark

Orga Whole Foods is expanding its range of fair trade products, starting with organic jam from Danish brand Fynbo Foods, the company said on Wednesday.

An affiliate of local food company Pulmuone, Orga Whole Foods sells organic food through online and brick-and-mortar stores. The company has been selling fair trade products since 2009, ensuring better trade conditions for manufacturers in developing countries.

Fynbo Foods’ jams are the latest addition to Orga’s fair trade lineup. A 275-gram jar will sell for 12,000 won ($10,56). Made using a traditional Danish recipe, the jam comes in three flavors: strawberry, raspberry and blackcurrent.

“Denmark produces various fair trade goods and Fynbo’s jam is only one of them,” said Danish Ambassador Thomas Lehmann during a meeting with Orga exeuctives in Seoul on Tuesday. “We’re glad to share a fair trade product from Denmark through Orga.”
