‘Unstoppable’ gets a global release

The film “Unstoppable,” starring actor Ma Dong-seok, set to arrive in local theaters on Nov. 22, has already been sold to a number of markets in Asia, North America and Oceania.

According to the distributor ShowBox on Thursday, the movie will be released on Nov. 30 in Taiwan and America. So far, the movie has been sold to buyers from regions including Australia, the United States, Japan, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia and Cambodia. The distributor is also currently discussing contracts with buyers from Europe and Latin America.

The film, directed by Kim Min-ho, tells the story of Dong-chul, played by Ma, who tries to save his kidnapped wife Ji-soo, played by actor Song Ji-hyo. Following the disappearance of his wife one day, Dong-chul receives a threatening call from the kidnapper, who demands a great sum of money in return for the release.

“Unstoppable” is Ma’s fifth film released this year, following “Champion,” “The Soul-Mate” and “The Villagers” and "Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days."
