Steve Yoo’s album is quickly pulled

The release of a new album from singer Yoo Seung-jun, also known as Steve Yoo, has been delayed after backlash from the public.

According to a music distributor on Wednesday afternoon, the album “Another Day,” which was supposed to be released on Dec. 5, will not be released as originally scheduled.

The singer announced on Wednesday morning that the lead track of the upcoming album would be released the next day. However, the news was met by fierce reaction from the public.

The album’s distributor canceled the release on Wednesday afternoon and erased the teaser video of the song from YouTube.

Yoo was a high-selling artist until 2002, when he gave up his Korean citizenship and gained U.S. citizenship in order to evade his military service. After he flew to the United States, the Korean government banned the singer from entering Korea ever again.
