Data indicates Hwasa is hot

The Korea Reputation Center, a research institute that assesses a company’s or individual’s reputation by analyzing online data, released the results of its big data analysis on girl group members for December 2018.
Hwasa scored the highest in the research center’s analysis, which takes into account stars’ positive and negative images held by the public, how many times the stars are mentioned in the media, how much consumers are interested in stars and how much the stars communicate with the public.
A total of 106,737,693 pieces of data were analyzed, a 10.15 percent decline from last month, when 118,798,781 pieces of data were analyzed.
Hwasa was followed by Jennie from Blackpink, Irene from Red Velvet and Jihyo from Twice.
“Hwasa has been mostly associated with the words ‘hot, colorful and perfect.’ And the keywords [that people looked her up with] were ‘MAMA’ (Mnet Asian Music Awards), ‘stage costume’ and ‘exposure.’ Her image was analyzed to be 73.98 percent positive,” said Korea Reputation Center.
The data used this month was collected from Nov. 14 to Dec. 15.
The reputation center has been releasing its reputation analysis on celebrities since March 2016.
