KT staff check on a 5G base station on Dokdo, Korea’s easternmost islets in the East Sea. This year, the high-speed network succeeding the current 4G LTE internet will be commercialized on smartphones. Korea became the first country in the world to commercialize 5G networks for mobile routers in 2018. [YONHAP]
