After Shin Jae-min, 32, a former official at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, alleged that President Moon Jae-in’s Blue House forced the ministry to replace the CEO of KT&G — a privatized tobacco company of which the government is the largest stakeholder — and that the presidential office also ordered the ministry to issue deficit-financing bonds, the ministry accused the whistle-blower of telling lies.
