Ham to remain vice chair of Hana Financial 1 more year

Hana Financial Group extended the term of Group Vice Chairman Ham Young-joo for another year.
Ham’s term will extend to Dec. 31, 2019. The announcement was made on Wednesday.
Ham also doubles as CEO of KEB Hana Bank.
Industry insiders see the extension as a positive sign for the possibility of a third term for Ham as the head of KEB Hana Bank.
The nomination committee will decide whether he will continue on as the bank’s chief next month.
The chairmanship term is two years.
Ham is under investigation for allegedly violating labor laws.
He stands accused of unfair hiring practices by recruiting children of influential figures in industry and government.
