Doosan Infracore lands a major order in China

Doosan Infracore said Tuesday that it won an order from China’s Mengxin Group to supply 36 excavators. The heavy equipment company will supply six 80-ton excavators, 20 52-ton excavators and 10 38-ton excavators to the Chinese mining company, which operates four mines in Inner Mongolia, China.

The order comes as the company looks to bolster its position in China through larger-sized excavators.

The Doosan affiliate has, in the past, focused on its small- and medium-sized excavators in the Chinese market.

The company’s annual sales share in China of medium- and large-sized excavators increased to 40 percent through the third quarter of last year, a five percentage point increase from the same period the previous year.

“Through strategic partnership, this supply order secures a long-term major client in the Chinese mining industry,” said a Doosan Infracore executive.
