Hydrogen takes flight

Doosan Mobility Innovation unveiled a hydrogen fuel cell drone that can fly for more than two hours on Thursday at the 2019 Drone Show Korea held in Bexco, Busan. The hydrogen fuel pack allows for longer flights unlike the 10 to 30 minutes of flight time in conventional lithium battery drones. The company unveiled its fuel cell for the first time at a U.S. drone trade show in September last year - this is the first time it has showcased the technology in Korea. The Doosan subsidiary will also demonstrate its remote control flight systems for the first time at the exhibition, remotely controlling drones that are around 300 kilometers (186 miles) away.
