VIXX’s N to enter military in March
N of boy band VIXX, whose real name is Cha Hak-yeon, will begin his mandatory military service on March 4, his agency Jellyfish Entertainment said Saturday.The 29-year-old will be joining the military band. He was accepted to the band Friday.
“Entering the military isn’t a big deal, and I wanted to go quietly,” N wrote on the VIXX official fan club website. “But seeing other [stars] who will be entering with me share their news, I thought that it’s only right that I tell you the news, too.”
“I feel sad too that I won’t be seeing you for a while, but I’m fulfilling my duties as a citizen of this country. So I hope you keep on supporting me like you always have,” wrote N.
He met with fans through a meet-and-greet with the other members of VIXX Sunday, and will host a solo fan meeting series, to take place on Feb. 16 and 17 in Seoul, Feb. 23 in Osaka and 25 in Tokyo.
N will enter the military on the same day as Key of SM Entertainment boy band SHINee.
