People with disabilities from the city of Ulsan are teaming up to produce a film advocating for the rights of disabled people.
Ulsan Dong-gu Center for Independent Living announced Wednesday that the center and disabled people from the region are preparing a documentary movie titled “Blinded Party.” The film will feature the difficulties experienced by a blind husband and wife.
The equipment needed to make the film will be rented from the Ulsan Viewers Media Center and students from Ulsan College’s Department of Digital Contents Design will also participate as staff. Around 10 million won ($8,906) will be spent on the production.
The project, which will begin filming next month, will be presented at the JeJu International Disabled People’s Human Rights Film Festival in October.
