Any Yang jumps up world ranking after LPGA victory
Korean LPGA golfer Amy Yang took a giant leap in the new world rankings announced Tuesday, thanks to her victory over the weekend.Yang, who captured the Honda LPGA Thailand for her fourth career LPGA title Sunday, soared 16 spots to reach No. 13 in the rankings.
Yang, whose Korean first name is Hee-young, is now one of six Koreans inside the top 15 in the rankings.
Park Sung-hyun remained the top Korean at No. 2, but Ryu So-yeon and Park In-bee each dropped a spot to No. 4 and No. 5. Ko Jin-young fell out of the top 10, sliding from No. 8 to No. 11.
