Agencies are on the hunt for talent

With K-pop now a global phenomenon, several Korean entertainment agencies are holding auditions abroad in the hopes of recruiting talented artists from all around the world.
FNC Entertainment - home to groups SF9, N.Flying, AOA and CNBlue - announced Wednesday that it is holding its audition series titled “2019 FNC Pickup Stage” in major cities around the world - including New York, Toronto, Auckland (New Zealand), Sydney, Tokyo and Osaka (Japan) - in March.
Those who audition will be able to choose from five different categories, including instrument, vocal and rap, dance, acting and modeling. Anyone between the ages of 12 and 22 is invited to audition.
Singer Psy’s newly founded agency P Nation will also be holding auditions from March to May. The auditions will take place in multiple regions across the country, including Cheongju, Gwangju, Daejeon, Busan and Daegu, and people of any nationality can apply so long as they were born between 1999 and 2008. The categories are divided into vocal, rap, dance and acting.
P Nation is home to artists Jessi, Hyun-A and E’Dawn.
