Erick Oh’s short to show in Brussels

Korean-American filmmaker Erick Oh’s short animated film “How to Paint your Rainbow” (2018) has been invited to compete at the 2019 Anima, the Brussels International Animation Film Festival, which kicked off Friday and will continue until March 10 at Place Flagey, Brussels.

The festival, celebrating its 38th edition this year, has invited a total of 375 short and long animated films.

The opening film of the festival will be the multinational animated film “Another Day of Life.” The festival will wrap up with the screening of “La Foire Agricole,” produced by a Belgian and French crew.

Oh, based in California, worked at Pixar Animation Studios until 2016 and produced numerous independent films of his own. Many of his works have been invited and awarded at international film festivals, including the Annie Awards, Annecy Animation Festival, Hiroshima Animation Festival and the Zagreb Film Festival.
