Actor Lee Jae-in from the new hit film “Svaha: The Sixth Finger” is set to appear in the upcoming film “Battle” (translated), along with actors Ryu Jun-yeol and Yoo Hae-jin.
The historical film will feature the Battle of Fengwudong, a battle that was fought between Korean independence activists and Japanese soldiers in Manchuria in June 1920, when Korea was under Japanese colonial rule (1910-1945). The movie is directed by Won Shin-yun, who was behind the hit films “The Suspect” (2013) and “Memoir of a Murderer” (2016).
Actor Lee, who debuted in 2013 with KBS’s series “Samsaengi,” has made it into big films despite her young age, including “Survival Guide” (2017) and “I Can Speak” (2017). Her latest film “Svaha: The Sixth Finger” is currently the No. 1 top-selling film at the Korean box office.
