Back where it belongs
Gwangmyeong Gate inside Deoksu Palace in central Seoul was moved and damaged during the Japanese colonial era, but finally made it back to its original spot after 80 years on Friday. Gwangmyeong Gate used to be the main gate of Hamnyeongjeon Hall, where Emperor Gojong resided. The original location of the gate is also where the funeral procession of the emperor began 100 years ago. The completion ceremony was held Friday afternoon, with Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon and Chung Jae-suk, chief of the Cultural Heritage Administration, taking part. [YONHAP]
