The members of the three different K-pop boy groups will all serve in active duty in the Army after finishing eight weeks of basic military training.
All able-bodied South Korean men are required to serve in the military as the country is technically at war with North Korea.
Key posted a photo of himself with military-style haircut, and a handwritten letter, on Instagram on Sunday to bid farewell to his fans.
“I, who have never taken a long break from work, am now unable to say hello to you for the time being because I was ordered to enlist in the Army on March 4,” he wrote in the letter.
“The precious times and memories that I have shared with you became a driving force of my focus ... I’ll be well and will return after cheerfully completing my service.”
The three singers have all recently released new albums and held concerts or fan meeting events to reach out those those who have supported them, before their enlistment.
