Jang Yun-jung to drop new album

Singer Jang Yun-jung will make a long-waited comeback when she releases her first album in four years on Friday, her agency IOK Company announced on Wednesday.
Jang’s eighth album, the title of which has not been unveiled yet, will be her first since her 2015 release “Girl,” and will be packed with songs to take listeners deeper into the world of trot.
Jang is considered one of the biggest names in music and is credited with being a pioneer the field of trot music - a mash-up of Korean country music and old-school dance music, signified by its repetitive beat and simple melody lines.
She is best known for her 2004 song “Oh My,” and has since been active both as a trot singer and a TV entertainer.
She tied the knot with her husband in 2013.
