Queen members coming to Korea

Following the success of the film “Bohemian Rhapsody” last year, British rock band Queen and American singer-songwriter Adam Lambert are visiting Korea for a concert as part of their 2019 “Rhapsody Tour.”

According to concert promotion agency AIM on Monday, the band will come to Korea, but the specific date and location have yet to be announced.

Lambert, a singer who appeared on the eighth season of “American Idol” in 2009, will replace Queen’s former lead vocalist Freddie Mercury (1946-91) during the tour and will perform alongside Queen’s guitarist, Brian May, and drummer, Roger Taylor.

This will be the band’s first concert in Korea in five years, since its performance at the “Super Sonic 2014” music festival.

Queen biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody” was a smash hit in Korea last year, attracting more than nine million moviegoers, according to the Korean Film Council.
