Bergdorfs to host Korean fashion brand

Shinsegae’s Boon the Shop Collection is hitting Fifth Ave.

The K-fashion brand will be featured at New York’s Bergdorf Goodman, the company said in a statement Tuesday.

The move is part of Shinsegae’s efforts to grow Boon the Shop into a global name by increasing exposure and growing the network.

It will be the brand’s third foreign foray. It first entered the U.S. market in 2017 through Barneys New York then expanded to Paris with Le Bon Marche the following year.

Though the Boon the Shop Collection is known for its fur and cashmere products, the company says the brand will bring 100 spring and summer releases planned and produced to Bergdorf Goodman. Colorful shirts and pants as well as a “paper-thin” leather skirt and jacket will be offered.

Bergdorf, founded in 1899, is currently owned by Dallas-based Neiman Marcus. It is often called Bergdorfs.

Clothing items will run in the thousands of dollars, pricing similar to other products at the store. Leather pants, for example, will cost $2,955, while a shirt will go for $635.
