‘Produce X’ to premiere on May 3
The fourth season of the “Produce 101” series, this time titled “Produce X,” is set to begin on May 3, and the theme song for the new season was revealed through Mnet’s music program “M Countdown” on Thursday evening.The theme song is titled “X1-MA,” and is a powerful dance pop added with a Latin sound and strong guitar.
The Korean title - pronounced jima, which means “don’t” in English - is an incomplete phrase that can be used in many contexts, including “don’t give up” or “don’t be afraid,” to encourage the contestants.
The new season began filming in early March, with 101 new boys competing for the final project boy band.
The first episode of the program will air at 11 p.m. on May 3 on cable channel Mnet.
