Doosan teams up with Major League Baseball for 3rd yearFor the third year, Doosan will sponsor U.S. Major League Baseball (MLB), the company announced Thursday.
The conglomerate hopes to strengthen its presence in North America by getting brand exposure across various platforms, including national broadcasts, MLB-owned channels and its digital platform.
Doosan affiliates based in North America began marketing with the American League Divisional Series in 2017.
Last year, it partnered with the New York Yankees to sponsor the club through 2020.
Doosan’s sports marketing also includes golf and football. The company has been a patron of The Open Championship major golf tournament since 2010 and FC Viktoria Plzen, a club in Czech Republic’s First League, since 2009.
“After years of experience in sports marketing, we are raising our brand in the global market,” said a press officer for Doosan. “We’ll strengthen our standing in the North American market through our sponsorship of MLB and New York Yankees.”
Doosan Group currently operates six affiliates in North America in the fields of industrial facilities, heavy equipment and energy. Doosan Bobcat and Doosan Infracore are among the six.
