‘Kill This Love’ breaks more records

The hypnotic video for K-pop girl band Blackpink’s latest single, “Kill This Love,” has garnered more than 300 million YouTube views since its release one month ago, the band’s management agency said on Tuesday.

Following its official release on April 5, the music video passed the 300-million-YouTube mark early Tuesday morning, becoming the fastest K-pop act to reach the milestone, according to YG Entertainment.

It took 32 days and four hours for the group to hit 300 million views, about twice as fast as their previous hit single “Ddu-du Ddu-du,” which took 68 days to hit the same mark.

Blackpink made K-pop girl group history with “Kill This Love,” becoming the first Korean female act to have a song chart on the Billboard Hot 100, and the Top 100 Official Singles Chart in Britain for three and four consecutive weeks, respectively. Yonhap
