Kia Motors shows rendering of new sport-utility vehicle
Kia Motors on Tuesday released a rendering of an entry sport-utility vehicle ahead of its planned global launch later this year.The entry SUV will help strengthen the country’s second-biggest carmaker’s SUV lineup as it expects the new model to absorb growing demand for recreational vehicles in markets such as China, India and Europe, the company said in a statement.
Kia introduced the new SUV with the project name of “SP Signature” at the biennial Seoul International Motor Show held in Goyang, Gyeonggi, in March.
Kia’s SUV lineup is currently composed of the flagship Mohave, Telluride, Sportage, Sorento, Stonic subcompact, Niro and Soul boxcar. The Telluride is only available in North America.
