Lee Hi to make long-awaited return
After three years away from the music industry, singer Lee Hi will be making a long-waited comeback, her agency YG Entertainment announced on Monday.“YG’s soul vocalist Lee Hi is coming back for the first time in three years,” the agency said.
The agency uploaded an image of Lee Hi looking at the camera through a round pink frame, along with text that reads “Coming Soon.”
Lee made her debut in 2012 after making the semifinals of the SBS audition program “Kpop Star 1” earlier that year.
Fans have been waiting for the 23-year-old singer to release new music ever since she released her second full-length album “Seoulite” in April 2016. She has only worked on two tracks since then.
“It took time for her to return with an album that she felt fully satisfied with,” the agency explained.
“Because this album is filled with songs that she has prepared for a long time, we are hopeful that she will be releasing new music more frequently from now on.”
The agency added, “We have already finished the lead track and are filming the music video, so we will announce an official release schedule very soon.”
