The music video for BTS’s “MIC Drop” (2017) remix surpassed 500 million views on Monday morning, the fourth BTS video to have reached that milestone.
According to Big Hit Entertainment, “MIC Drop” saw its 500 millionth view at 2:26 a.m., a year and a half after it was released in November 2017.
“This makes BTS the artist with most music videos to have been watched 500 million times,” the agency said.
The other three BTS videos that were seen 500 million times are “DNA” (2017), “Fire” (2016) and “Fake Love” (2018).
The remix version of “MIC Drop” was produced two months after the original version was released as a part of the group’s EP “Love Yourself: Her.” It was done by renowned D.J. Steve Aoki.
The remix has stayed on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart for over 10 weeks.
BTS also holds the record for having 20 music videos with over 100 million views on YouTube.
