Posco chairman in China visiting subsidiaries

Posco Chairman Choi Jeong-woo stressed the need to expand the sale of automotive and stainless steel while reducing cost.

As part of the effort to expand the company’s global influence, Choi visited Posco subsidiaries in China. He visited a subsidiary in Guangdong Province on Monday and plans to visit another subsidiary based in Zhangjiagang today.

Posco operates four subsidiaries and 21 factories in China and is focusing on expanding sales to global automakers in the country like Volkswagen, Toyota, Honda and Nissan.

“The actual steel plants build a company’s competitiveness,” said Choi.
