Johnny Walker Walking Man 111th birthday sets on sale

Diageo Korea released three special edition Johnny Walker packages to celebrate the 111th birthday of the Striding Man, the brand’s symbol.

All three packages, dubbed the “Retro” series, come in vintage-style packages that commemorate years 1929, 1970 and 2019, which are milestones for the symbol’s change of appearance. Boxes were designed to reflect the dominant art styles of each era.

The 1929 version will be applied to Johnny Walker Red label, while 1970 and 2019 will go on Johnny Walker Black and Gold labels.

The Red and Black Retro sets will come with a 700-milliliter (24-fluid-ounce) bottle, a glass, magnets and stickers. Their mini versions will also be vintage and sold at convenience stores.

Johnny Walker’s Retro series will be made available for sale at convenience stores, discount chains and bars starting from this month.
