Olive Young’s new website caters to overseas customers

Health and beauty retailer Olive Young launched a new e-commerce website with an overseas focus as part of efforts to expand its business abroad.

Olive Young announced Monday it launched a website for overseas customers to purchase Korean beauty products. The website can be accessed in 150 countries.

Goods will be sent via EMS or K-Packet service, an international shipping method for products that weigh less than two kilograms (4.4 pounds).

It is seen as part of the company’s efforts to raise its name value ahead of its planned foreign expansion.

Olive Young operates six stores in China, but plans to further expand its business.

The primary target of the new online mall is the United States. High quality, yet affordable prices, are important qualities that have made Korean beauty products popular in the United States, especially among millennials, according to Olive Young.

“The global mall reflects our goal to raise the brand recognition in foreign markets, and a passage for Korean products to reach out to broader consumers,” said a spokesperson for Olive Young.
