By shooting five under-par, 66, on the final round, Seo finished the tournament two shots ahead of the runners-up, at 13 under par, 271.
Seo, who started the final round four shots behind the leader, got off to a quick start with five birdies and a bogey in the first nine holes to share the lead. Although he started the second half with a bogey on the par-4 10th, Seo successfully managed to extend his lead by adding two more birdies.
This is Seo’s first KPGA Tour win since he made his debut in 2016. With the win, he took home 240 million won ($202,210) in prize money.
“I told myself to play really hard and not to look at the scoreboard [throughout the round],” Seo said. “I didn’t look at the scoreboard until the end and when I finally saw the scoreboard after I holed out on the last hole, I saw a great result.”
