Choo Shin-soo hits 12th home run of the season

Choo Shin-soo of the Texas Rangers hit his 12th home run of the season during a game against the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park in Ohio on Sunday.

Choo, who started the game as a second batter and left fielder, got off to a quick start by hitting a home run in his first at bat. While the two teams were tied at 0-0, Choo hit a solo home run against Reds’ starter, Sonny Gray, over the center field. Then, at the top of the third, Choo added another hit as well as an RBI as Hunter Pence hit a home run.

However, Choo failed to get on base for the rest of the game. Throughout the game, he had two hits, an RBI and two runs in four at bats.

The Rangers lost the game 11-3.

With another home run, Choo slightly increased his batting average from .280 to .284.
