Ryu So-yeon gets second straight LPGA top-10 finish

Ryu So-yeon recorded her second consecutive top-10 finish by finishing tied for ninth at the Meijer LPGA Classic For Simply Give at Blythefield Country Club in Michigan on Sunday.

With a bogey free round of four under par, 68, Ryu finished the tournament at 13 under par. Looking at Ryu’s statistics for the final round, she had one of the most consistent rounds as she only missed three fairways and had 72.2 percent accuracy on greens in regulation. Although Ryu failed to defend her title, she was still the best finisher among the Korean golfers.

Brooke Henderson of Canada picked up her second win of the season by finishing the tournament one shot ahead of the runners up at 21 under par, 267.

The LPGA Tour will continue its season as the golfers play in the third major tournament of the season, the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Minnesota starting from Thursday to June 23.
