After 7 years, Hot Potato is back

Rock duo Hot Potato dropped their first full album in seven years on Monday.

Hot Potato, the indie rock band that debuted in 2000 with members Ko Bum-jun and KimC, released their sixth full-length album “Liquor Storage” on Monday at 6 p.m., to the excitement of their fans, who have waited since the band’s fifth album “Who Doesn’t Like Sweet Things” came out in 2012.

“The album is filled with sounds that are 180-degrees different from the band’s music from the past,” the agency said.

All the songs on the album were made without any guitar or bass sounds in order to create an experimental digital sound.

According to the agency, the album was produced without any support from the agency, which allowed the members to “create something big, through an independent method,” said Ko.

“I’m eager to meet with our fans at our performances now,” KimC said on Sunday, at the celebratory party held in Hannam-dong, central Seoul.
