Hans Zimmer is coming to Seoul

The legendary film composer Hans Zimmer will visit Korea for a live concert on September 28 at KSPO Dome in Olympic Park, southern Seoul, concert organizers announced on Tuesday.

The German producer has created over 130 original soundtracks for films across many genres, including action, fantasy, comedy and romance.

After his debut soundtrack for the movie “Rain Man” was nominated for Best Original Score at the Academy Awards in 1988, he went on to compose music for the soundtracks of popular movies such as for “Lion King” (1994), “Inception” (2010), the “Pirates of the Caribbean” series and “Interstellar” (2014).

Zimmer won two Grammy Awards and the Golden Globe for Best Original Score for “The Lion King” soundtrack in 1995. He took home the Golden Globe for Best Original Score again in 2001 for “Gladiator.”

At the concert, the composer will lead an orchestra in playing songs from his most famous soundtracks for film fans. Tickets will be available beginning July 2 on ticket reservation sites such as Yes24 and Interpark.
