Hyosung TNC shows off new extreme sport spandexHyosung TNC presented its first spandex yarn specialized for extreme sports at the Outdoor Retailer show in Denver on Tuesday.
The Creora ActiFit yarn is made to have a stronger tendency to recover its original form than other spandex products, making it optimal to be used on extreme sports outfits. The material also has high resistance to ultraviolet rays and chlorine, which is often contained in swimming pools.
The Outdoor Retailer is one of the world’s three largest U.S. tradeshows in the outdoor industry. Hyosung, a leading manufacturer in spandex, also showcased ecofriendly yarn which the company has been promoting to meet the recent trend for sustainable fashion.
Among them were Regen, a polyester yarn made from recycled plastic bottles and Mipan Regen, which is a nylon yarn made from recycled material. This was the company’s 11th year at the trade show.
