The 2019 Anti-Corruption Forum set for June 20

The Korea JoongAng Daily and the Global Compact Network Korea will host the 2019 Anti-Corruption Forum on Thursday at Lotte Hotel in Sogong-dong, central Seoul.

Leading up to the International Anti-Corruption Conference next year, which Korea will host, this week’s 2019 Anti-Corruption Forum will invite foreign ambassadors and diplomats, executives of leading companies and lawyers from top-tier law firms to discuss how transparency and integrity can be embedded into business practices.

Pak Un Jong, chairperson of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, will present a keynote speech introducing the Korean government’s anticorruption efforts. A discussion session will follow, moderated by Park Suk-bum, secretary-general of Global Compact Network Korea.

The panelists will be You Han-beom, executive director of Transparency International Korea; James Kim, chairman of The American Chamber of Commerce in Korea; and Chung Kyo-hwa, head of corporate, external and legal affairs at Microsoft Korea.

The function will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at Lotte Hotel’s Emerald Room on the second floor of the main hotel building. Breakfast will be served from 7:30 a.m. to 8 a.m.

Fees will not be charged and simultaneous interpretation will be provided. Participation in this event is by invitation only.
