100 million bottles of Terra sold in its first 100 daysMore than 100 million bottles of Terra beer were sold in the first 100 days after the new beer’s release, Hite Jinro said Tuesday.
The Korean alcohol beverage manufacturer said in a statement that it sold 101.39 million bottles of the beer as of June 29. The number equates to an average of 2.4 bottles consumed by each adult, and it also means that around 11.6 bottles of Terra were purchased every second.
Hite Jinro first released the new beer on March 21.
In part due to the strong performance of Terra, Hite Jinro’s sales volume for June increased 5 percent compared to a year earlier. The beer manufacturer expects its sales to rise even further, as summer has just started.
To continue the momentum, Hite Jinro said it will be introducing a draft beer version of Terra. The beer already received positive reviews during a beer festival held in Busan last month.
