Super Junior to perform in Jeddha

Boy band Super Junior will hold a solo concert in Saudi Arabia on July 12, the group’s agency Label SJ said on Wednesday.

Super Junior will perform at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddha, the second largest city in Saudi Arabia, as a part of their world tour “Super Show 7S.”

“Super Junior will be holding a solo concert at Saudi Arabia for the first time for a K-pop artist, flaunting their talent as the kings of Hallyu [Korean wave],” the agency said.

A day after their concert, Super Junior-D&E - a subunit of Super Junior comprised of members Donghae and Eunhyuk - and Super Junior-K.R.Y. - made up of members Kyuhyun, Ryeowook and Yesung - will be taking part in the Jeddah Season Festival.

The Jeddah Season Festival is a 40-day festival, where the country’s biggest stars such as Ahlam, Mohammed Abdu, Amr Diab and Nancy Ajram are set to perform, along with international pop acts like the Backstreet Boys.

“We hope that Super Junior works as a bridge to connect the two cultures of Korea and Saudi Arabia together, as the importance of communications between the two countries’ has grown more than ever,” Label SJ said.
