BMW Korea is offering a free vehicle exchange program for consumers as it strives to improve its image after a number of its vehicles burst into flames across Korea last summer.
The Korean unit of the German automaker said in a statement Wednesday that until the end of this year it would offer a chance for those who buy diesel models of its BMW and Mini cars to get a new version of the same vehicle for free if there are any problems with the engine.
The deadline is unlimited for those who received regular maintenance services on their diesel models at BMW and Mini’s official service centers.
The program was made to appease customers and make them feel comfortable driving BMWs, the company added.
