X1 to debut at Gocheok Sky Dome

The 11-member boy band that finalized its members on Friday during the final episode of Mnet’s audition program, will make its debut on Aug. 27 with a concert at the Gocheok Sky Dome in western Seoul.
The Gocheok Sky Dome is a large indoor baseball stadium that seats up to 20,000 people at once and is the same venue where X1’s predecessor Wanna One made its official debut two years ago.
With the band’s first performance, the 11 boys - Kim Yo-han, Kim Woo-seok, Han Seung-woo, Song Hyeong-jun, Cho Seung-youn, Son Dong-pyo, Lee Han-gyul, Nam Do-hyon, Cha Jun-ho, Kang Min-hee and Lee Eun-sang - will kick off their upcoming five years together as a group.
Meanwhile, fans of the nine contestants who did not make it to the final group on Friday have begun to support the possible debut of a band tentatively named By Nine (BY9), arguing that the remaining contestants are just as fit to debut as the 11 who made it.
Others argue that the votes made on Friday may not have been fair, analyzing the number of votes each member received as evidence.
According to the arguments made online, the number of votes separating some contestants were exactly the same, while other vote totals showed a repetition of similar number patterns.
Mnet has yet to make an official statement regarding the matter.
