Kim Jang-hoon to return to DokdoSinger Kim Jang-hoon will soon be making his fifth trip to Dokdo Island, Korea’s eastern-most islet, with high school students.
“Kim Jang-hoon will be traveling to Dokdo Island for the first time in three years on July 30,” his agency said.
Kim held a speaking event with students from Chungnam Foreign Language High school in April, which led him to “be inspired again despite his busy schedule.”
“I was deeply moved by how the teachers and the students of Chungnam Foreign Language High School shared their love for Dokdo and the country, which is why I decided to join them on their expedition to the island,” Kim said.
Kim will travel to the island next week with 43 students and 18 teachers, and hold various events on the island.
The singer made his debut in 1987 and has been promoting the island since the mid-2000s, as well as making donations to charity.
