Lee Jong-suk is not dating Kwon Na-ra
Earlier this week, local news outlet Newsis reported that Lee and Kwon were dating, and that it was Lee who brought Kwon to A-Man Project in May this year.
Although the agency denied the dating rumors between the two and explained they were only “close colleagues,” additional reports claimed that A-Man Project signed an exclusive contract with Kwon because Lee was sitting as the head of the board at his agency.
According to Korean law, it is illegal for any serving soldier to make profit from a business or hold an additional position except in special cases.
“Lee Jong-suk does not sit as a member of the board of the company,” the agency said.
“He resigned from his post on Feb. 20, prior to his military service, which began in March this year.”
Cha Gang-hoon is currently running the company and Lee’s brother, Lee Jong-hyuk, is currently sitting as the chairman of the board of directors of A-Man Project.
“Kwon Na-ra signed her exclusive contract in May, and related business was handled by the related managers. Lee is fully aware of the regulations and is currently serving his military duties in the best way he can.”
The company will take legal measures against vicious rumors or ungrounded reports, it said.
Actor Lee began his alternative military duties in March, while actor Kwon joined A-Man Project in May. Kwon was previously part of girl group Hello Venus before joining her new agency.
