Park Ji-min will not renew with JYP

Singer Park Ji-min will not be renewing her contract with JYP Entertainment, the agency said on Tuesday.
According to the agency, Park’s exclusive contract with the agency ends later this month, but she has decided not to renew the contract “after careful talks with the company.”
Park joined JYP Entertainment in 2012, after gaining attention for her powerful vocals in the SBS audition program “K-pop Star” and debuted as part of the duo 15& with Baek Ye-rin.
The duo has released songs such as “I Dream” (2012), “Somebody” (2013), “Can’t Hide It” (2014) and “Love is Madness” (2015), but has not released any music since 2015.
Park made her solo debut in 2015 with “Hopeless Love” and has been pursuing a solo career since.
Baek has not decided on her contract yet.
