Solo singer Viini will make his debut on Aug. 19, his agency YGX said on Tuesday.
Viini, otherwise known as model Kwon Hyun-bin, competed in the second season of Mnet’s audition program “Produce 101” in 2017. On Tuesday, he revealed the tracklist of his upcoming debut EP, titled “Dimension.”
The EP will feature four tracks, including “Genie,” as well as “Bittersweet,” “Bad” and “Affection,” each produced by a team of producers comprised of Future Bounce, iHwak and Bigtone.
The three producers have produced hits for girl group Blackpink, including “Whistle” (2016), “As If It’s Your Last” (2017) and “Forever Young” (2018).
Viini debuted as a model under YGX, a subsidiary of YG Entertainment, and transitioned into a dance-rapper with his appearance on “Produce 101.”
He failed to make it to the final 11 as a member of project boy band Wanna One, but joined forces with other popular members from the program to form their own band named JBJ, where he mostly flaunted his talents as a rapper.
“Viini took part in writing the music and lyrics for all of the tracks, and will prove himself as someone with a rich musical talent,” the agency said.
