Local horror film “Metamorphosis” has sold its distribution rights to 45 countries, its film distribution company Contents Panda reported on Wednesday.
The rights were mainly sold to regions in Asia and South America such as Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and more.
“I think foreign buyers placed high esteem on the familial horror theme and the interesting plot point of the demon being able to take on a human form,” one of the organizers said.
The film centers around a family whose peaceful life is thrown into chaos when a demon takes refuge into the family home, deceiving the family members with its ability to take on human forms.
