Oldest KBL player to hit the court for another seasonUlsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus re-signed a one-year contract with Joe Ira Clark.
At age 44, Clark is the oldest player in the Korean Basketball League (KBL) and by re-signing a one year contract, it is highly likely that he will again set the record as the league’s oldest player.
Throughout the 2018-19 season, Clark played in 16 games and averaged 4.8 points and 3.6 rebounds per game to help the Phoebus win the regular season and the Championship.
With experience of playing in foreign leagues and in the KBL, Clark is also expected to serve as a mentor and training partner for Phoebus players Ra Gun-ah and JaCorey Williams.
According to KBL regulation, the Phoebus are allowed to sign two foreign players, in addition to Ra, who is a naturalized Korean citizen. In each game, only one of the two foreign players can play when Ra is on the court.
