LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo visited the LG Leadership Academy in Icheon, Gyeonggi, on Friday and encouraged young LG employees training there to have big dreams and focus on creating a better future.
LG established a new training program earlier this year to nurture young employees from group affiliates as entrepreneurs. Some 100 junior LG employees were selected based on recommendations from different affiliates.
“Please remember that the efforts you put in will [later] result in the future of LG,” Koo said during his visit. “We will support your challenges while offering opportunities for you to have the necessary experience to become entrepreneurs.”
Under the program, the employees take classes on entrepreneurial mindsets and skills and participate in projects to develop new business opportunities based on the latest digital technologies like big data and artificial intelligence. They are offered coaching and mentoring from senior employees as well.
