Asean films are screening in Busan

Asean Culture House (ACH) will be hosting a special film exhibition titled “Asean Cinema Week-Asean Cinema Now!” at the Busan Cinema Center on Friday and Saturday.

The film event was established to commemorate the Korea-Asean special summit which will be hosted in Busan from Nov. 25 to 26.

Six Southeast Asian films that have been recognized for their commercial success, including Malaysian film “Upin & Ipin: Keris Siamang Tunggal” Cambodian film “In the Life of Music” Myanmar film “Mi,” Laotian film “The Long Walk,” Filipino film “Alone/ Together” and Bruneian film “Ada Apa Dengan Rina 2,” will be screened.

Directors of the film “In the Life of Music” and “Mi,” Sok Visal and Na Gyi, will participate as panelists at a panel discussion with the audience after they are screened.

Those who want to participate can apply for tickets at the Busan Cinema Center (www.dureraum.org) or ACH websites (www.ach.or.kr).
After wrapping up the event in Busan, the exhibition will also be hosted at Megabox Jeju on Dec. 7 and the Asia Culture Center in Gwangju on Dec. 12 and 13.
